Education Minister Bratya Basu said on September 26, 2023, that the WB Primary TET 2024 exam would take place on December 11, which falls in the second week of December.

Education qualification:

 

Post	education
Primary Teacher (Class I to V)	12th standard by scoring a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST). Along with 12th candidates should have passed the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education D.Ei.Ed.
Secondary Teacher (Class VI to VIII):	pass B.A / B. Sc by scoring at least 50% marks with a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education following the NCTE.
